Axicon - 6525-S
The Axicon 6525-S verifier is designed for all barcodes where a 5, 6, 10 or 20-mil aperture is mandatory (such as EAN-8, EAN-13, GS1-128 and ITF-14), up to 125 mm width including quiet zones. The simple to use design reduces user error and eliminates product damage whilst providing the highest level of accuracy achievable for verification.
Start Barcode Verifying Out of the Box
The Axicon 6525-S is capable of scanning a very wide range of small to medium retail barcodes up to 125mm wide. Built-in retail barcodes include EAN-8 and EAN-13 as well as GS1-128 and ITF-14. Other retail codes can be installed via plug-ins available from the Axicon website.
State of The Art.
A fixed solid state CCD array with automatic aperture selection is at the heart of this verifier to ensure accurate scanning. The enclosed head design eliminates ambient light and allows the device to reach the required ISO standard. Using CCD technology allows the verifier to make direct contact without damaging the barcode.
GS1 and ISO/IEC Compliant Verifier
Axicon are an accredited GS1 Solution Provider with the 6525-S verifier a certified ISO/IEC 15426-1 device.
Dual Verification
Using the latest ISO verification and legacy methods to inspect the barcode provides you with useful insights into the quality of your barcodes. The Symbol Contrast method is the ISO standard for barcode quality while the legacy PCS method (Print Contrast Signal) provides other details to gauge overall quality.
Verification Software
Easy to use reporting tools provide in-depth analysis of the barcode indicating an overall grade (Pass or fail) as well as detailing the grade of individual elements. Regular calibrations are required to ensure barcodes are being verified correctly. Calibrations are logged to spreadsheets detailing who, when and where calibration has been carried out and automatically prompting for re-calibration when required. Each report can be saved and exported into a variety of formats including email reports. Software updates are available from the Axicon website to maintain ISO compliance and to expand the types of barcode that can be verified via plug-ins.
